As a seeker I am on a non-traditional path, away from the confines of traditional religion.
Without the support of community or a leader to guide my journey of ritual and thought, I'm on my own to define what it means to have a spiritual practice. So, when I drew this card this morning, it prompted me to ask - what IS my spiritual practice?
AND...
What are my rituals? Do I have rituals? Do I think about my life in terms of a spiritual practice? What does spirituality mean to me? What is my spiritual path? How do I define that path? What keeps me on the path of love? What do I believe? What support do I have from other like-minded individuals? How important is that community for bouncing ideas around and keeping my practice honest? What is my practice?
It's time to stop taking my beliefs, my connection to the universe, and my desire to love and share love for granted. What more can I learn about hope and faith? I no longer want to live without a solid understanding of my spiritual direction. I believe I need a more disciplined approach.
Therefore, my plan is to answer these questions in the coming New Year.
Does any of this resonate with you?
XOXO Jill Amy

Sharing is free and so are these weekly contemplations. It’s also one way we find each other on Substack, so share away with my thanks and while you’re at it I’d love to read your comments.

Midwest Review of Books: Guidance from the Universe is more than just a book; it's a powerful invitation to embark on a transformative journey toward self-discovery and acceptance.
Wonderful questions! For me meditation and contemplation are at the core of my practice to increase spiritual awareness. Along the way I read and journal and take classes to excavate what needs excavating as well as reconnect with guidance. I'm looking forward to reading new ideas in your book!
Your questions resonate with me! I've thought about writing out what I believe, and even using tarot to aid in the answers. I haven't made the time to do so, yet. This post has spurred me to carve out some time after the holidays, maybe a good New Year's spread or ritual in itself. Thank you for the inspiration, Jill!! ❤️🫶🏻
